Recruiting MCP servers compared: which hiring tools work with Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini
The short answer
As of 19 September 2026, ten recruiting tools publish their own MCP server, the connection that lets Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI assistants read and act on hiring data. Applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse, Workable, Ashby, Zoho Recruit, Pinpoint) expose candidate and job records. Agency CRMs (Manatal, Recruitly, Leonar, PCRecruiter) add sourcing, client and billing data. Beatview, an AI screening and interview agent, also returns the results of that evaluation. It is the only one whose MCP documentation covers the whole first stage of hiring — publishing jobs, AI resume screening results, AI interview assessments and sending interview invitations — and it is included on every plan, including Free.
Why Beatview’s MCP server goes further
Most recruiting MCP servers let an assistant read and update records. Beatview’s also hands it the evaluation: every resume already screened, every interview already assessed, and the invitation one confirmation away.

Screening & interviews
Start from what you want your assistant to do
An assistant can use several MCP servers at once, so choosing Beatview does not mean giving up the ATS you already run.
| If you want… | Look at |
|---|---|
| Candidates screened and interviewed before you even ask | Beatview — resume screening, AI interviews and invitations all reachable from the chat |
| One tool from job post to shortlist, starting free | Beatview — every plan includes the MCP server, including Free |
| To keep the ATS you already use | Keep it, and connect Beatview alongside — one assistant can use both servers in the same chat |
| Only to query records you already hold | Your ATS’s own server, if it has one |
The questions to ask any recruiting MCP server — and Beatview’s answers
Candidate data is personal data. Ask every vendor these in a trial; here is how Beatview answers.
| Question | Beatview |
|---|---|
| Does each person connect with their own login? | Yes. Every connection is tied to one Beatview account and needs the user to sign in and approve the agent explicitly. |
| Which actions can write, and are they confirmed? | Only two affect candidates — moving a stage and sending an interview invitation — and the server tells the assistant to confirm both with you first. |
| Can an admin see and revoke connections? | Yes. Every action is logged in Integrations → MCP Server → Settings, with today’s call count, and a connection can be revoked instantly. |
| Which plan do you need? | Any. The MCP server is included on every Beatview plan, including Free. |
| Which assistants are named? | Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Cursor, plus any MCP-compatible tool. |
| What leaves the platform? | Interview recordings never do. Answers come with Beatview’s assessment and a link for signed-in members; resume files come as a link that expires after an hour. |
| Is there a rate limit? | Yes: 60 calls a minute and 5,000 a day per connection, so a runaway agent cannot hammer your account. |
One question only you can answer: has your organisation approved the AI assistant you plan to connect for candidate data?
Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini have their own rules
A recruiting tool’s MCP server is half the setup. Each assistant decides which of its plans can add custom servers.
| Assistant | Who can add a custom MCP server | Where it works | Setup guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Claude | Custom connectors on Free (one connector), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise | Web, desktop, mobile | Beatview + Claude |
| ChatGPT | Custom MCP apps with write actions documented for Business, Enterprise and Edu (beta) | Web | Beatview + ChatGPT |
| Gemini | Custom apps for personal Google Accounts in the US, aged 18+ | Web and mobile, including Gemini Spark | Beatview + Gemini |

Recruiting MCP questions
Still deciding?
Bring a live vacancy and we’ll walk through where automation ends and recruiter review begins.
As of September 2026, Greenhouse (open beta), Workable, Ashby (open beta), Zoho Recruit, Pinpoint and Manatal publish official MCP servers. Agency CRMs Recruitly, Leonar and PCRecruiter do too, and Beatview offers one for AI screening and interviews. Other ATS platforms are often reachable through third-party MCP gateways, which this comparison does not cover.
For agencies that want candidates screened and interviewed before anyone asks, Beatview. Its server covers job publishing, AI resume screening results, AI interview assessments and interview invitations, on every plan including Free, and it runs alongside the ATS you keep. Of the agency CRMs, Manatal’s server requires the Enterprise Plus plan and Recruitly’s is read-only and works with Claude only.
An ATS server gives an assistant your records — candidates, jobs, stages and notes — so it can search and update them. Beatview’s server also returns work already done on those candidates: AI resume screening against your criteria and structured interview assessments, question by question. Many teams connect both.
It depends on the assistant. Claude allows one custom connector on its free plan. OpenAI documents custom MCP apps with write actions for ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu. Gemini currently offers custom apps to personal Google Accounts in the US. Each vendor’s own plan rules also apply — see the Plans column.
Check four things: that each user connects with their own login and sees only what they already can; which actions can write, and whether the assistant must confirm them; whether an admin can see and revoke connections; and whether your organisation has approved the AI provider for candidate data.
Each row was read from the vendor’s own page on the date shown at the top. MCP servers change quickly, so check the linked source before you decide. Vendors can contact Beatview to correct a row.
