Workable MCP server: setup, tools and limits
The short answer
Workable’s MCP server connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP tools to Workable. It launched in May 2026 with 38 tools and had 94 by July, covering jobs, candidates, pipelines, offers and requisitions as well as HR data such as employees, time off and performance reviews. Each person connects https://mcp.workable.com/mcp with their own Workable login, and the assistant sees only what they can see. It can move, disqualify and update candidates and approve offers and requisitions. Its job tools are read-only, and it has no tools for sending emails or scheduling interviews.
Every Workable detail comes from Workable’s own documentation, read on 1 October 2026. Beatview is not affiliated with Workable.

Connect Workable to your AI assistant
Workable documents no admin setup. Each person adds the server in their own AI tool and signs in with Workable.
Claude
- Open Customize → Connectors, click + and find Workable in the connector directory.
- Click Connect and sign in with your Workable account.
Claude: on Team and Enterprise, an Owner enables connectors for the organization first. You can also add https://mcp.workable.com/mcp as a custom connector.
ChatGPT
- Add an app with https://mcp.workable.com/mcp as the server address.
- Sign in with your Workable account to authorize it.
Workable’s help centre warns that ChatGPT Enterprise and some other tools may fail to connect, because Workable only accepts pre-approved redirect URLs. Contact Workable Support to have yours allowed.
Cursor and other MCP tools
- Add https://mcp.workable.com/mcp as a new MCP server in your tool’s settings or configuration file.
- Sign in with your Workable credentials when prompted.
Microsoft Copilot
- Workable says Copilot needs extra configuration but publishes no steps, so ask Workable Support before you start.

Workable MCP limits, permissions and audit
Limits to know
- Workable doesn’t publish rate limits or a separate EU endpoint for the MCP server.
- Some actions are final: submitting or signing a performance review can’t be undone.
- Tools outside Workable’s pre-approved redirect list, such as ChatGPT Enterprise, may need Workable Support to allow them.
- Workable’s pages word plan eligibility differently: all plans at launch, paid plans in its later support guide.
Permissions and audit
- Every session is scoped to the signed-in user’s role, access level and assigned jobs.
- Workable says every tool call is logged and write actions need the user’s confirmation.
- OAuth sign-in means your AI tool never stores your Workable password.
- Workable doesn’t document where admins see MCP logs or how to revoke a connection from Workable; disconnect it in the AI tool.
Questions from Workable’s own examples
Taken from Workable’s launch page and help centre.
- “Which of my engineering roles have candidates who’ve been in the phone screen stage for more than a week?”
- “Move Jane Smith to the Offer stage in the Product Manager job.”
- “Create a new requisition for a Customer Support Specialist in Athens.”
- “Approve the offer for Alex Johnson.”
- “What time-off requests are pending for this month?”
- “What is the current headcount in the EMEA sales team?”
Workable gives your assistant the records. Beatview adds the screening.
Workable’s MCP server lets an assistant work with your Workable jobs, candidates and HR data. Beatview’s MCP server adds screening before anyone’s first call: every applicant scored against your criteria with the reasons shown, and a structured AI video interview assessed answer by answer. Connect both and one assistant can compare Beatview’s evidence with the pipeline in Workable.
One address
Add https://platform.beatview.ai/mcp to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor, next to Workable. It is included on every Beatview plan, including Free.
Evidence, not just records
Beatview returns each applicant’s resume match score with reasons and a structured AI interview assessed answer by answer.
You stay in charge
The assistant confirms with you before moving a candidate or sending an interview invitation, and recordings never leave Beatview.
Try with both connected
- “Which Customer Support candidates scored above 80 in the Beatview interview, and what stage are they at in Workable?”
- “Brief me on Alex Johnson: the Beatview interview assessment and the comments in Workable.”
- “Who finished the Beatview interview this week but is still in the phone screen stage in Workable?”
