Run your hiring from ChatGPT
ChatGPT is OpenAI’s AI assistant. Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces can add custom MCP apps that take actions in other software. Connect Beatview and ChatGPT can work with the candidates your agent has already screened and interviewed.
https://platform.beatview.ai/mcpIn short
Beatview connects to ChatGPT through its MCP server at https://platform.beatview.ai/mcp, on every Beatview plan. Once you approve the connection, ChatGPT can open and publish jobs, list and compare candidates with their AI resume and interview scores, show the pipeline and — after you confirm — move candidates or send AI interview invitations. Screening and interviews keep running inside Beatview whether or not the chat is open.
Connect Beatview to ChatGPT in four steps
- 01
Step 01
Turn on developer mode
A workspace admin or owner enables developer mode (Workspace settings → Permissions & Roles → Connected Data, or Settings → Apps → Advanced settings). - 02
Step 02
Create the app
Go to Apps → Create, name it Beatview, paste https://platform.beatview.ai/mcp as the endpoint and choose OAuth. - 03
Step 03
Scan tools and sign in
Click Scan Tools, sign in to Beatview when asked and approve access, then click Create. - 04
Step 04
Publish to your workspace
Test the draft in a chat, then publish it from Workspace settings → Apps → Drafts so your team can use it.
What ChatGPT needs
These requirements are set by OpenAI, not Beatview. On the Beatview side, the MCP server is included on every plan.
Checked 19 September 2026.
- OpenAI documents custom MCP apps, developer mode and write actions for ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces. Full MCP support, including write actions, is in beta there.
- Only admins and owners can enable developer mode and publish an app. Enterprise and Edu admins can also choose which actions the app may use.
- Custom MCP apps run on ChatGPT on the web; OpenAI’s article says they are not available on mobile.
- ChatGPT can ask for confirmation before write actions, and Beatview also tells it to confirm before moving a candidate or sending an invitation.
What stays in Beatview, and what you do from ChatGPT
Keeps running in Beatview
- Resume screening against your role criteria, as applications arrive
- Stage rules that send AI interview invitations
- Interview recordings — viewable only by signed-in members of your account
- Your career page, branding and plan limits
What you do from ChatGPT
- Admins vet Beatview once and publish it to the workspace, so recruiters get it without any setup of their own.
- Enterprise and Edu admins can switch individual Beatview actions on or off — for example, allow reading candidates but not sending invitations.
- Mention @Beatview alongside your other ChatGPT apps to combine them in one request.

No. An admin creates and publishes the Beatview app once. Each recruiter then connects with their own Beatview login, so they only see what their Beatview account allows.
No. Recordings are never shared with ChatGPT. It receives Beatview’s assessment of each answer and a link that opens the recording inside Beatview for signed-in members of your account.
Not at the moment. OpenAI’s documentation says custom MCP apps are web only.
